Dr. Mark takes an hour of an 11am - 4 pm five-hour Café Seminar at the Atrium of the Ukranian Catholic University on values-based business: the challenges and opportunities of business powered by values. At 5:00 pm, he is offering a 2.5 hour open Master Class for top managers based on his book, True to Yourself. The session will include substantial question and answer periods and interaction. Lviv Business School of UCU Speeches

Duke Fuqua School Footprints Conference

Dr. Mark will give the Opening Keynote and lead two career sessions at the day-long Duke Fuqua School of Business Footprints Conference, which celebrates the convergence of private, public, and social sectors to create sustainable social and environmental benefit. Sponsored by Duke's Net Impact/Social Impact club, Dr. Mark will speak on values-based leadership from his last book, True to Yourself: Leading a Values-Based Business, and his forthcoming book, "More than Money: Questions Every MBA Needs to Answer. University of Alberta B-School Events

Dr. Mark begins his second day at University of Alberta at 7:00am as the guest lecturer for the Eric Geddes Breakfast Lecture Series for 170 business leaders. During the two hour event, Dr. Mark will speak about "Growing People, Growing Products, Growing Profits," focusing on the key characteristics of values-based leadership, based on his recent book, True to Yourself. At 10:00am, he will lead an ethical/environmental marketing class for undergraduate students. At 2:00pm, he'll be the guest lecturer for the one and half hour Capstone Strategy class, focusing on social entrepreneurship and the creation and development of Net Impact. After student meetings, at 6:30pm, he will give a guest lecture on CSR emerging trends for an hour, followed at 7:30 by a a Net Impact dinner in the evening. University of Alberta B-School Events

Dr. Mark spends the first of two days at the University of Alberta's Business School, hosted by Net Impact co-chairs Casey Mckenzie and Eric Petz and MBA Assocation VP Lazina Shamseer. At Noon, he'll discuss socially responsible careers for an hour and a half for the MBA Forum of MBA students and undergraduates, including career guidelines from his Fall 2008 book, "More than Money: Questions Every MBA Needs to Answer." At 2:00pm, he will lead two one hour sessions on values-based leadership for the school's technology transfer office that provides consulting services for early stage technology companies, TEC Edmonton. The day ends with a talk and Q&A session at a 6:00pm dinner at the Stollery Executive Development Centre for the school’s Business Advisory Council, senior executives who advise the school. Dr. Mark will discuss issues such as employee retention in tight labor markets for an hour. For more information, please e-mail the School staff.

Athens Professional Net Impact Chapter

Organized one-year ago as Net Impact Hellas Professional by chapter president Dimitris Stathopoulos, Net Impact's Athens chapter hosted an informal evening gathering and talk with the Net Impact co-founder. Dr. Mark spoke about Net Impact's history and current plans to expand in Europe, as well as corporate social responsibility around the world. A book signing was followed by a pleasant Greek dinner.

Organized by the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence, CSE, whose managing director, Nikos Avlonas, spoke at the Net Impact 14th Annual Conference last October held at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, Dr. Mark gave a keynote speech on socially responsible leadership at the Hellenic Advertisers Association special one-day event for the HAA Social Contribution Awards 2007 at the Goulandris Natural History Museum's GAIA Centre for Environmental Research and Education in Athens, Greece.
